About Our Club

Welcome to the University of Nottingham Snooker & Pool Club, we are one of the best established clubs on campus which caters for players of all abilities.
Snooker and pool are among the most played sports in the country and we aim to improve its awareness throughout the university.

We welcome new members of all abilities, with many people playing for fun and with many serious competitors, so you'll always find someone suitable to play with.  Some of our members can be seen our facebook group.

We represent the university throughout the country in three disciplines, 9-ball, 8-ball and snooker. There are tournaments in Nottingham, Liverpool, Coventry, Leeds and Great Yarmouth in which Nottingham University is always one of the strongest competitors.

We are one of the most successful pool clubs in the country with victories in BUCS (British University & College Sport) and UPC (University Pool Council) Tournaments. Players from the club have also progressed to play at county and national level.

The club is also well represented at local level in Nottingham. We have teams the Nottingham and District Pool league, in which the club has been very successful, recently winning the local cup competition.

There are also internal tournaments throughout the year, with players competing for money, trophies and points in the club's ranking system.

We are also a very social club, with many opportunities to play pool/snooker competitively and socially. We now have two social secs, who will be organising events throughout the year.

Membership is only £5 for the whole year, making us one of the cheapest AU clubs in the university.  You can join at su.nottingham.ac.uk or at the student activities office in Portland building
